CLARK, MD, William Michae 56, of Centerville, OH passed away peacefully February 19, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton, succumbing to complications from pneumonia after a long and debilitating battle with Myo- tonic Muscular Dystrophy. Dr. Clark is survived by his wife, Eileen O'Connell Clark, son Patrick William (Los Angeles) and daughter Erin Maureen (Chicago), Mother, Julia Mary Clark of Dayton, sisters Catherine Ellen (Cay) Dietz of Beavercreek and Nora Gene Clark Neilson (Ron) of Raleigh, NC, and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Dr. Clark is the only surviving son of the late Eugene William Clark of Dayton.

As a native of Dayton, Dr. Clark attended the E.G. Shaw Elementary School, St. Luke's Middle School, and Carroll High School, where he graduated as salutatorian in 1974. He attended the University of Dayton on an academic scholarship where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry in 1978 before attending Wright State Medical School.

He completed his residency at Akron General Hospital before practicing as an Emergency Room Physician at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton. After graduation from Shopville High School, he went on to Bowling Green Business for 2 years, then he spent 3 years in the Army during WWII. After which, he then moved to the Dayton Area and was employed by NCR until around 1975, then went to work for Kroger. After retirement in 1987, he continued refereeing volleyball and started volunteering at Yankee Trace Golf Club. Following his honorable discharge from the Army, he went on to become a volleyball referee, which he enjoyed for over 60 years. In addition, he was an avid volleyball player, golfer and gardener, an Ohio state Volleyball Official for many years and a member of the YMCA for over 45 years.

He was also a charter member of the NCR Golf and Country Club. He is survived by his daughter, Debra (Sears) Rudy, son-in-law, David Rudy, and grandson Christopher Rudy, his oldest brother, Leonard Sears and wife Elva and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
